PROGRAMS
Program Goals
-
To get a sixty-day commitment from each
person to remain at Matthew and participate in the program.

To get all participants who commit to remain
in the program for the 60 days to graduate, i.e. complete
the 60-day program.

To help program participants to save 75% of
the income they earn.

To help participants develop a favorable
employment history (job attendance, favorable performance
reports, job-interest matching).

To help participants to secure permanent
housing.

To help each participant to earn 30 Life
Skill Education Credits (LSEC) upon graduation (60-days).
LSECs are earned by attending in-house life skill classes,
AA/NA meetings, GED classes, etc.

To encourage each participant to complete at
least 16 hours of public service work upon graduation.
